iMac (late 2013) EFI Update 2.1 (8.7MB)

This update is recommended for iMac (late 2013) models.

This update addresses an issue which may cause a black screen to appear when installing Windows 7 or Windows 8 using Boot Camp Assistant if both an external optical drive and USB thumb drive are connected to the system.

This update also ensures that the system will boot by default into OS X after installation of Windows 8.

System Requirements: OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.4 (12E4022) or later"

After Update Boot Rom should be IM141.0118.B00 for 21.5" and IM142.0118.B00 for 27"

I downloaded this update and I'm getting a notice that this software is not supported by my system. I have a new iMac 27" bought a month ago v10.8.5

I've been trying to install Windows 7 all day and have tried everything I've read on the internet so far and nothing has worked. Then I found this update and thought this would do it but no luck 😟

What do I do now?
