Q: Can the iphone 5s be accessed without the touch id feature at all? Silly question I know but i need to be sure, because as soon as I get one I would be putting it in an otterbox case that does covers the sensor/button.
Can the iphone 5s be accessed without the touch id feature at all? Silly question I know but i need to be sure, because as soon as I get one I would be putting it in an otterbox case that does covers the sensor/button. I work in construction and want the protection the otterbox provides around the switch. Can the device be left to just press the home button and swipe or passcode? Thanks in advance.
iPhone 5s, iOS 7

Yes. Touch ID is optional and not enabled by default.
You may choose to use it, or the traditional numerical passcode entry, or none at all.
