Have a 2007 iMac running Leopard and I have it plugged in with an ethernet cable and only use it to share the internet. The iMac has something wrong with it, which came in the form of some sort of virus (in process of deleting it/getting rid of it) and I just bought a new Retina MBP, so don't want anything to transfer between two computers. So, I was wondering if the iMac may share something via internet sharing? Thanks.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities Unless you use Migration Assistant, no files will get copied to the MacBook Pro with Retina display. Apart from that, I doubt you have a virus, but if you feel better, you can disable file sharing in both computers, so you can be sure nothing will be copied
