For Keynote: How do I start slide numbers on the third slide?

Slide numbers are programmed into the slide master and cant be changed, a presentation will always have the first slide as number 1 and others are numbered consecutively.

You can always add a text box (Insert > Text) to each slide to add your own labeling system.

this is probably a little too late. but i've just found a way.

go to slide>show slide numbers on all sides. then you could click on the slide number on the slides that you don't want it to appear, and click delete. it doesn't affect the other slides' numbers.

This doesn't achieve the original request, "page numbers to start on the third slide"

what you suggest just deletes numbers 1 & 2.
