I turned on homesharing and authorized computers, but still can't share ibooks

I am confused about what content I can share among authorized computers. Why can I share music but not books? I've turned on homesharing, and authorized relevant computers (mac book 13" and mac book pro 15"). I have an ipad 1 and we have 2 iphone4s

Being able to share between household members seems reasonable.
