Q: Locked out of iCloud

I changed my Apple ID and password a few weeks ago.  I just updated my iPad to IOS 7.  Everything works fine except iCloud, which I didn't update.  Now, I can neither log in nor log out despite doing all the recommended troubleshooting.  I decided to erase, and sent the command via "find my ipad".  It says the device isn't connected to the internet, even though I am emailing, surfing the web, and even logged into "find my iPad" FROM the iPad which is "not connected".  Any ideas out there?
