Q: I do not see a "Manage Devices" link when I access my account information through iTunes. I want to know how many devices are linked to my account. Can anyone help?

I have accessed the Apple Support site http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4627 but I could not find the "Manage Devices" link on iTunes. The advice they give is as follows:

You can view which devices or computers are currently associated, remove unused devices or computers, and see how long before they can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer:

  1. Open iTunes.
  2. Sign in to your Apple ID by choosing Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu.
  3. Choose Store > View My Account from the iTunes menu.
  4. From the Account Information screen, click Manage Devices.

Next to each device or computer name, you will be able to see when each was associated to your Apple ID. You will also be able to track how many days are remaining before your associated devices or computers can be associated to a different Apple ID.

Help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I'm having the same problem. I want to remove my ex from my iTunes account. But I don't want to see him or contact him just to say "hey can you turn your phone to automatic downloads?" Did you ever find a way to remove devices? Please let me know!! Thank you!!

I've done that. But I want to add different devices and he has like his phone, iPod, and iPad. I don't want 3 out of 10 devices just never being able to be used. Does that make sense?? Lol

As soon as you change your password, he cannot use your acount for automatic downloads (or anything else).

If you do not see Manage Devices under iCloud, log out of iTunes store and log back in .

Where are you seeing his 3 devices linked to your account?

It would be in your Account Intormation in iTunes store (right in front of Manage Devices).

So, if I removed a device from that screen, does that mean it can no longer be used with my account? I've changed my password twice in the past four days, and just now removed my old Ipod from my devices, because the person who has it now refused to remove it themselves. They were getting my messages forwarded to them, and I wanted them off my account completely, especially since I don't remember giving them my password.

    Hello from Albania,

Please help me !! I'm desperate

I sold my iPhone 4s a few months ago.

Now i got my self a new iPad and created a new apple ID which i recently accociated with ITunes and ICloud.

However, i can't update anything on my Mac since it still requires the old apple id, even though i changed it anywhere i could.

I also don't get the manage devices when i tried to do this through the iTunes.

I have no idea what to do.

    Waiting for your reply.

    Regards

    Don’t use a new AppleID.

Just update your old AppleID with any new info and use that.

Yes but you can recover your old AppleID & password and then update it with new info.

    -> https://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid

I highly recommend you stick with the previous account as all iTunes purchases/downloads are permanently tied to the iTunes account it is purchased with.

    Hello,

I understand. The problem is that its not possible to recover the old ID as i don't have the password of the recovery email address anymore,. And they  keep sending me the instructions to recover my old apple ID password to that email address. How can i receive that information on my current email address? I hope there is a solution to this. If not, does this mean i won't be able to update my lap top ever again ???? OMG !!!!!

Thank you so much for your answers.
