How to find a flagged email message

Since getting IOS 7 on my iPad, I've noticed that I have two (2) Flagged messages, but when I click on the menu item, nothing appears. How can I find the messages and deleted them, or unflag them?

iPad 2, iOS 5, Verizon 3G updated to iOS 5.0

If you see Flagged but nothing appears when you click on it, close the mail app and reboot the iPad and then see if they show up - or if the Flagged indication goes away.


Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app to close it.


Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I just realized that I gave you incorrect instructions if you are running iOS 5 as your profile line indicates.


If you are running iOS 5, you close apps like this.


Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus ➖ sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button twice.


If you are running iOS 7 and my instructions did not help, the only thing that I can suggest is to manually root through all of your emails - or do a search in the mail app.


Go to the Inbox of your email account and type Flagged in the search field and see what that turns up. If you really do have flagged emails on the iPad, that should find them for you. It works for me that way.
