iMac forced to restart when opening Logic Pro

Question

Every time I open Logic Pro, right as it&#x27;s loading the default project, my computer is forced to restart. The panic was caused by the M-Audio device or its software, maybe with help from one or more of the other third-party system modifications you&#x27;ve installed. I suggest you disconnect the device, back up all data, and then remove the software according to the developer&#x27;s instructions. Reboot and see whether there&#x27;s an improvement. If there isn&#x27;t, post your results.

Thanks for the info - So I completely unintalled all of the M-audio software and drivers, and re-opened Logic. It opened successfully with the M-Audio stuff removed. I then did a fresh intall of the M-audio driver, and opened logic, and the problem is BACK. So it definitely must be the M-audio driver causing the problem. This issue came about after intalling the latest Mavericks developer preview the other day. Is this something typical during developer previews? Also, my other recording software seems to work just fine using the M-Audio driver. Opens and records as normal. So this seems to be a logic pro / m-audio problem.

Please follow the suggested instructions, it&#x27;s not a Logic Pro issue it is a M-Audio issue that needs to be addressed. If you let KP&#x27;s continue it may damage the OS.

Which instructions? Like I mentioned above, I unitalled the m-audio driver, and re-installed with no luck. Did you see my post two posts above this one?

No I did not see those posts. Good job though, you found the problem. Next step is to see if there is an up-dated version if the app that is compatible, if there isn&#x27;t it must remain uninstalled until it either has been updates or a replacement is found.

The M-Audio driver is incompatible. Only the developer can solve that problem.

It&#x27;s weird though - I can open Logic Pro and create a NEW project just fine, its when it goes to load my existing projects that it crashes. Like I mentioned, the m-audio driver is working fine on all other apps, it&#x27;s only when I try to load projects it seems.

Using OSX 10.9If you are running a legit copy of a not yet publicly released OS, you are violating your NDA by posting here and we are not allowed to discuss it. Please post in the special forums made available by Apple for you.FWIW, you do have to expect unusual and unexpected behavior with beta software.
