M-Audio Oxygen 25

Hi

Fairly new to MIDI keyboards and hoping someone might help me with this problem. I have LPX and have recoreded a few audio tracks for a song. I now want to add some softyware instruments using the Oxygen 25 midi keyboard. I have it connected and getting sounds ok but the volume is very low. Is there somewhere I can adjust this so that it's at the same volume as the other tracks without having to turn the other tracks down.

I'm also getting the following message and it might have something to do with the low volume but I think not:

'Device Oxygen 25 is assigned to MIDI Port 'Oxygen 25' which is not present. Please ensure that all midi interfaces are connected and switched on. If this is the case please check the midi port setting of device 'Oxygen 25'. If this is correct click 'Reset all midi drivers' in preferences>midi>general.

I've done all the things suggested in the above message but I'm still not getting any real volume.

Any advice appreciated.

😕

Did you honestly think you cannot adjust volume in a professional Digital Audio Workstation? Have you even tried anything?

And if you know how to turn down your audio tracks, you also know how to turn up your instrument track...

So, which software instrument are you using exactly (because that's where the volume comes from)?

In general, all tracks need to be turned down anyway. The more tracks, the more you need to turn 'm all down. Fundamental law of mixing.

You obviously asked for some patronising, or else I wouldn't be doing it. I am quite aware of the fact that most if not all people prefer not to be patronised, and I do not really enjoy doing it, but sometimes it is just stronger than me.

"My car won't go as fast as other cars. How come?"

After the initial patronisation I did provide you with some serious answers/links though, and with a serious, non judgmental technical question to help you further... I guess you ignored that because you were angry with me? Well, that's indeed a known downside of patronising people. But, I am done with that now, and I can assure you that there are several ways to achieve a well balanced mix, and also several ways to up a software instrumets' volume, but you really need to provide a bit more info. A screenshot of your mixer would help, as would a screenshot of the software instrument itself. Like this one (...and why is the piano not loud enough?)

hi

As I said I'm fairly new to midi recording. Yes I imagine there is a way of increasing the volume of instrument tracks. Obviously I don't know what that way is or I wouldn't be asking. And yes I have tried a few things. Obviously those things haven't worked or I wouldn't be asking. There is a huge difference between the volume of my recorded audio tracks and any software instruments I try.

To be honest id prefer not to get responses that are patronising like yours.
