Importing mini DV - IMOVIE

After 50 min mini DV was imported into IMOVIE, (everything went well) it finished and immediately froze. " DONE" "IMPORT" nothing works.It says in window that it is "processing event" but nothing happens. My first time ever on IMOVIE. Mac is 1 day old. Mac OS X 10.8.5

Do i reboot?
