Configurator making paid apps free

I tried updating a coupld of my paid apps in Configurator v1.4. I downloaded the updates in iTunes, then imported them into configurator. When I imported them, it asked if I wanted to replace the current version with the new one and I said yes. The apps are now showing up in configurator as free and is not showing any of my purchased app codes. I did check and these are not free apps. I seam to be able to update the app with out issue on the iPad, but I am not able to track which iPads have the app now, or how many copies I have used. I am also concerned that I will have lost the codes I already used. Can anyone help with this?

We have this issue too. Has anyone found a fix for it? The HT5771 does not seem to specifically address the problem.

The fix is remove the paid apps from configurator and then add it back again. You will get your current license count back.

Thanks! That works, but you do seem to have to do it each time you update the app.

My problem is exactly opposite. I get free apps from apps gone free and other places. In iTunes if you buy it free then it's always free. However in Configurator even if I bought it for free it is showing up that I have to pay for it now. So it's free if I use iTunes but it costs to use the app in Configurator?

I am just about to implement Configurator and wondered what happens with "appsgonefree" apps- so now I know! Free to all iTunes users, but schools have to pay for them! Seems not really in the best interests of us cash strapped state schools!
