Q: I have a second generation and cannot connect to iTunes

no error message, just cannot connect to iTunes. also, I want to upgrade to iOS 4.2.1 if possible but do not know how. it currently has 1.1.5

You have a 1G (original iPod) You can go as hig as iOS 3.1.3
