mobile me instead of icloud?
my system prefs say mobil me, how do i get icloud?

Your signature says you have 10.7.5 and you should have the iCloud preference pane in that (in System Preferences) and not the now useless MobileMe pane. Is your signature correct?
As long as you are running Lion, try downloading and applying the combo updater:

Check in Apple Menu>About this Mac to see exactly what system you have.
