Make a new thread and don't just dump in on someone else's. When you do, give us inforamtion that we can work with

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:

    - What version of iPhoto.

    - What version of the Operating System.

    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.

    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?

    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.

    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?

Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

    Hi Terence -

Not to worry, I didn't delete anything of importance just a bunch of old PDF files, ebooks, pictures and videos that were stored on my mac (I hope anyway!) - I sorted 'all my files' in order of size and started there.

I just created a New Library and added 10 pictures, closed it and opened it again a few times and so far does not have any duplicates! yay -

in this new library, under the shared tab I hit icloud and it asked if I wanted to switch to this library ~ I did not do that just yet as I wasn't sure what that all meant.  I assume somehow I will be able to go back and see the other library (although could not find how but admit did not spend a lot of time trying).  I did however hit the Facebook link under shared and all of my albumns in facebook appeared there with pictures attached.  I am not sure if that was good or bad...

This new library is much faster.

Thank you!  Should I start using this new library moving forward?

Yay - I just figured out how to switch to the other library.  Do you recommend I turn on icloud for this new library and start using this one going forward?  I did not know you could have more than one library!!!  Thank you...!

    I appreciate your time!

when I hit icloud under shared I get this warning:

iCloud Photos for nj****@me.com is being used with another library named “iPhoto Library”.

Switching iCloud Photos to this library will turn it off in “iPhoto Library”.

Will I lose all of my cloud photos from the other library if I do that or will it just start importing only new photos to this new library?

    Thank you...

I think I will back up my computer now just to make sure ;-)
