No. Different connectors. iPhone 5S uses Lightning connector and the iPhone 4s uses the old 30pin connector

Apple does sell 30pin to Lightning adapters

i've got a "old" LG - Blueray homecinema system with a 30pin iphone/ipod dock. Will it work, when i use such a lightning to 30pin connector with the 5s? before i used it with the iphone4 and it worked fine, but we changed to the 5s and now i dont want to buy a new homecinema system....

please help.

It should work fine as long as you don't use it for video.

I have an Onkyo with an iPhone/iPod dock and the adapter works fine with my iPhone 5 and iPod 5th gen.

I am able to both charge and play music.
