Visual Studio Equivalent for Mac

Sorry if this not the correct forum for this post but I was wondering if there is a Mac equivalent for development as in Visual Studio. I need to build an interface and map the backend to the items on the interface.

Any suggestions to this aspect is much appreciated.

Thank you

Every copy of Mac OS X comes with the Xcode Tools. The combination of Xcode and Interface Builder is the Mac equivalent of Visual Studio (minus Visual Basic). You design the user interface in Interface Builder and write the code in Xcode. You're going to have to learn either the Cocoa or Carbon frameworks to write Mac code. You'll have an easier time with Cocoa.

REALbasic is the Mac equivalent of Visual Basic. If you're familiar with Visual Basic, REALbasic would be easier to learn than Cocoa.
