Q: after the new ios 7 upgrade my voicemail is slow and the screen is non-repsonsive after the first voicemail. You have to wait for awhile to go back and hear or delete another voicemail. What is the deal!!!?

After I downloaded the ios 7 upgrade last week i have noticed my voicemail is slow to post and going from message to message to delete or listen can take minute because after you hear one message you have to wit a while to delete it or go to the next message in que. Is there a fix for this. I already shut down the phone 4 time like the store said.

and it doesn't fit the issue.

    did you do a reset/ hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

    I'm on an iPhone 4 with Verizon and having the exact same issue. Sometimes, voicemail hangs for so long, I have to quit the app, and even then each voicemail takes a long time to load and when you delete it, it hangs there for a while.

    Same problem on iPhone 4s (Verizon). We have two phones. Same problem on both. Reboot does not help. Other apps run pretty normally. The problem is extremely slow response on vociemail screens.

    Having the same issue - trying to delete voicemail and after the first one there's a long delay. Sometimes it freezes for a minute.

    Having same issue w/ iPhone 4.  I just upgraded to 7.0.3, and it helped.  Still, overall a very, very buggy and sluggish piece of software.  Not sure what Apple was thinking with 7.  Seems like they took several steps backward.

    It' s not the software.  Your hardware is at the bare minimum of the specs needed to run the software.  The software runs, but not as fast or smooth as it would on a different processor.

    It's not the hardware, it's the software.  My wife and I both have the iPhone 5 and it's the same issue.  I hope they come out with a bug fix for this.

    It's not the hardware as Visual Voicemail is far from being a demanding app. As others have noted, it's buggy software that's causing unbearably slow response, difficulty in deleting voicemails, deleted voicemails reappearing, voicemail freezing causing the inabilty to call, and at times being forced to quit the app. I encourage everyone to go to http://www.apple.com/feedback/ and let them know that it's vital that this basic, yet key feature requires an immediate fix.

    I have had major slowdown (almost unusable) visual voicemail on Verizon since upgrading to IOS7.  I went to the Verizon store and they told me to go to the Apple store and complain.  I hadn't had a chance to do that yet.  But then today a friend at work helped me change the setting to automatically rotate pictures based upon the phone orientation (just a setting when you swipe up from the bottom on the main screen). 

     

    Once we did that it SOLVED the visual voicemail issue.  When you upgrade the phone it disables that feature and for some reason it brings the visual voicemail to a grinding halt.

    Switch off ur 4g/3G then delete messages then turn back on hope it works

    You can also call service provider and ask them to refresh the visual voiceMail on your phone

    Thanks Jman, going into airplane mode to delete the voicemails worked. 

     

    Felt like I was working on a computer from the 90's before, when trying to delete my voicemails. It took 30 seconds to a minute to delete each individual voicemail and it had gotten to the point I would dread having to delete them, so I would let them pile up.

    Same issue with iphone 4s after installing i07. Some messages cannot be deleted. Tech support advised to reset. Tried all of that and nothing worked. Does anyone know of any solution.

    Same problem.  Let's go, Apple and Verizon.  Someone fix the problem....
