Not able to resubmit a podcast

Hello,

I've got the following problem: When I started my podcast I submitted a MP3-Feed to iTunes, with the effect that chapter marks could not be included. So I decided to ask Apple to delete the feed in order to resubmit it, this time with a aac-feed.

Apple confirmed that it had removed the mp3 feed from iTunes. But whenever I want to resubmit the aac-feed iTunes tells me that the feed has already been submitted and thus blocks my efforts.

The feed, as well as the whole podcast, has been deleted completely from iTunes.

Support couldn't really help. The idea to change the title of the feed ended up in the same error message.

And since I don't work on a Mac I don't have access to iWeb.

Any idea on how to solve this issue would be appreciated.

You didn't need to get it removed: you can make any changes to a feed that you want, changing, adding or deleting episodes, and iTunes will pick them up.

However, in the present situation you have fallen over a bug in the submissions process. The workaround is changing the title; as this hasn't worked you need to change the feed URL if possible, and also you could change the contents of the 'link' tag.

If you can't get it sorted you could try emailing Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com and asking them to reinstate you (give them all the details) - their responses are a bit variable, but they may help you.

Hey,

you were absolutely right: I had to change the title. However, I did so before and it did not work. This was due to the fact, that I changed the Episode titel, not the title of the whole project.

I changed the title of the project and now iTunes accepted it. Yay!

I don't think I'll ever touch that system again. 🙂

Thanks for your help efforts.

Hi,

I was not the creator of the podcast but I submitted the podcast. The owner wanted me to remove it and I did. The owner tried to submit the podcast and she's getting the already submitted prompt. Be advised that the link directing to the podcast is not active on iTunes. The podcast producer knows nothing about RSS feeds and I'm limited. She can't change the name of the link because she's going to have move all of her files (wordpress is the host). What can I do?
