    Hello smxg,

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with sending group messages on your iPhone after updating to iOS 7.  I frequently use group messaging, and I would be concerned too if it stopped working.

First, I recommend verifying that Group Messaging is enabled under Settings > Messages as outlined in this article:

    iOS: Understanding group messaging

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5760

If you have verified that this is enabled, I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:

    1. Double-click the Home button.
    2. Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    3. Swipe the app up to close it.

You can find the full article here:

iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5137

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the Messages app, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:

    Restarting your device
    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
    2. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.

    Resetting your device

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

You can find the full article here:

iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, the last thing I recommend is backing up and restoring your iPhone:

    iTunes: Restoring iOS software

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    Best,

    Sheila M.

Great links an all but have you actually looked at ioS7????

    Settings > Messages......

    imessage - tick

    Send Read REceipts

    Send as an SMS

    Send and REcieve

then the bit we all want titled SMS/MMS

    options are:-

    MMS Messaging

    Show Subject Field

    Character Count

    Blocked........

The Gourp Mail option as per you first link  - its not there!!

For some strange reason its been removed

As someone who put up with a million yr old crackberry whilst waiting for 5s to be released I cannot explain how bad Apple is when it comes to Groups and texting - its just appalling.

They need to have a serious look at this

You are correct Matt. Group is there but the phone won't allow the app to work. Screen goes black and then goes to app home. One app seller states that an iOS7 update is required for his to work.
