How do I stop this motion sickness?
<Edited By Host>
iPhone 4, iOS 7
I have been reading approximately 10 hours a day and after 2 weeks, I gotten nauseous, vertigo, and distressed as you can imagine. I'm cutting back to little or no reading or even looking at the screen. I can feel the discomfort behind my eyes just glancing at the screen. A good nights sleep alleviates the problem somewhat, but a day or two may be called for and moderation afterwards.
Settings> General > Accessability > Reduce Motion . Disable it
Does not help much, need Apple to fix this
email accessiblity@apple.com. You aren't the only one.
I won’t be able to continue using the phone. I’m getting a headache and motions sickness.
The reduce motion switch should cure it.
Motion sickness occurs when things on an LCD screen appear to be moving but the human body is not moving. The 'parallax' effect of the background wallpaper and icons moving is disabled when the 'reduce motion' toggle is switched on.
The Reduce Motion setting only turns off the Paralax effect for the picture on your wallpaper. The other effects, zooming in and out when you open and close apps are built into the OS.
If you want to really get Apple to hear your complaint you need to leave feedback at: http://www.apple.com/feedback. They don't monitor these forums the way you think they would. The problem with people becoming motion sick by using their phone has been noted in a lot of threads, and I have even seen it on the news. So please leave feedback at the above link and see if your voice will help Apple come up with a fix for this, or at least an option to turn it off for those with your same problem.
Doesn't help me :-(
I'm still experiencing headaches and motion sickness.
If Apple won't allow me to down grade to iOS 6 then the options seem to me are to take it back and demand a refund as to me it has now become faulty - and alas get an Android or Windows phone.
Apple your inflexibility on this is very very disappointing
Very upset...I hate my phone now due to this. I feel horrible all the time. Apple needs to fix quickly or I am getting a Samsung GAlaxy.
See your doctor.
