What if I only have a Windows computer? Is there a way to restore the ipod on windows?

I am trying to reset my whole ipod and when i try to restore it, it won't let me. I've tried downloading the newer versions of Itunes and switched the USB cord twice. The computer i use is windows and on my ipod it says its a Mac. I need help please!
