The Decline option is only there when the phone is unlocked. Otherwise, pressing the lock button on top of the phone twice will decline the call.

Thanks!
It does not solve the problem for me. I liked to decline people and instantly call them back (cause I have bonus calls) by simply sliding their name in the missed call that appeared right affter I declined.
Now if I decline by double tapping the power button the missed call does now show up on the notification screen, so I have to unlock, go to my contacts and call back... Do I need to say this is terribly worst???
I ask apple to give any good reason for not giving decline button in ios7 when phone is locked.
I always decline my wife's call because I have a postpaid and she has a prepaid SIM and she always running out of balance, its so inconvenient to push button 2 times to decline the call.
WHY??????????????????????????????????????
Lol. No wonder she runs outta mins!! So there was a decline button in OS 6 when locked?! Why would they take that feature away? It makes no **** sense. not like it hogs memory.
My opinion, apple needs to review the software for this issue. Pressing the lock button on top of the phone twice will decline the call, at the same time it will easily get damaged too, as it is designed for that too.
thanks
Apple, pls bring back decline button for all incoming calls - locked or unlocked! Thanks!
It was the same in iOS 6. There was never a decline button when the screen was locked. Pressing the power button twice declines the call.
Or just silence the call by pressing the button once. It will show the missed call on the lock screen.
Sorry but you are wrong. I always used the decline button on the locked screen even if I had he caller on my contacts. You had to slide upwards and the option was there. Now there is no such option.
I agree. Apple please bring back the Decline button for ALL calls, regardless of locked or unlocked, contact or not a contact.
For me this is one of the most annoying traits of iOS 7. It was so much easier on iOS 6 with a Decline button.
Tell Apple, not us... http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Thanks I will. 🙂
I think I understand the use case Apple is concerned about. If a call comes in and the phone is unlocked, then it's probably in your hand, and you can simply tap the Decline button. But if a call comes in and the phone is locked, then it's likely in a place where you can't reach it so easily— like your pocket or purse— and where "accidental" touches on the screen frequently happen. (See "butt dialing.") So requiring one press on the lock button to silence and two to decline the call prevents accidental declines and enables you to silence or decline the call without taking the phone out of your pants pocket. (I frequently adjust the volume of the device this way.)
