grey screen after hibernation

grey screen after hibernation

Sometimes I get grey screen "start up like" after hibernation followed by pre-entered characters in pasword field. Its a periodic failure. Anybody have a solution?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

By the way I can add that this only occurs when I use my wireless keyboard. I have tried a wired keyboard and did not experience the same failure.

I can add ever further that the problem occur when I start up after hibernation by hitting the spacebar on the keyboard.
