What button is greyed out? Do you mean the Safari icon in the Dock. Have you tried opening Safari from the applications folder in your drive? No browsers are working? The exact problem you're experiencing isn't at all clear.
No, the button to download the free trial is grey and unclickable. No browsers are working to download the button.

You've just made this even more confusing. What free trial? I still have no idea what the problem is.

This is the problem.
I'm trying to download Final Cut Pro X on computer. I've downloaded it before and now when I try to download it, the free trial button comes across blanked and grey and unclickable. I do the registration form and when its downloaded and I open the application it says expired. I deleted ALL the final cut pro stuff and it still wont work

I can't be 100% sure about this, but it may be if you downloaded the free trial once before I don't think you can do it again. Software trials expire after a certain period of time and can't be renewed indefinitely. If that's not it, then post here.

I've downloaded it multiple times before. And apple says you can download it as many times as you want...
Now, its just not working.
So please post where I suggested. I don't know any more than that.
