There is no QuickTime or any other plug-in for Safari anymore!!

I'm going back to a Windows PC if I can't listen to music on the Internet anymore. I've looked everywhere for a decent plug-in to listen to MP3 files, or any music files, and it doesn't seem to exist. Yet a Windows 8 machine comes with a plug-in to the Explorer from the factory. QuickTime never sounded great to begin with, but to totally take any media away from the browser isn't a good idea. Windows Media used to have a plug-in for Safari, and that cannot be found with an Internet search, either. 😢

MacBook Pro, iOS 6.1, Actually I have 6.05 OS not on menu

Look under the Safari Help menu and click installed Plug-ins. Is QuickTime listed?

You can also check your hard drive level Library/Internet Plug-ins to see if it is there.

Of course there is no plug-in, I don't have one. Plugin missing. I'm trying to get one installed. I have iTunes, RealPlayer, and QuickTime that plays any music file I have on my hard drive. None has an option to install the plug-in to the browser.

Cannot find the library. Before I had my hard drive formatted and OS reinstalled I was able to get to the library. This reinstall made it so that is now invisible!

Finally found the option so hard drive shows up. Looked into the library and there is a QuickTime plugin there in Internet Plugins. It doesn't show up in the browser, however.

Is it in the hard drive level Library, where Applications and Users are located, or in your user library in your user folder?

It is on the hard drive level Library. There is no library folder in my user.
