Me too, same problem. I plugged into my computer and when iTunes opened, it wanted me to restore my phone to original settings...

Sounds like it forced itself into recovery mode.

I hate to tell you this but you're going to have to restore and if you don't have a back-up, you're going to lose your stuff.

Follow the steps and it should work.

I had to restore twice - it didn't even work the first time. But now it works!
