I have a Airport Extreme connected to a Intellinet 300n router.I want to know how to set up the Express as an extender i want to know the correct configurations for this?

The correct configuration would be as follows:

    • For the Extreme, connect an Ethernet cable between any available LAN port on the Intellinet router and the WAN (circle of dots) port on the Extreme.
    • Reconfigure the Extreme as a bridge. That is, set its Router Mode to: Off (Bridge Mode).
    • Configure both the Extreme and the Express for an extended network.

Also i have my main computer which is imac 10.8.5 on ethernet it is wireless capable but im not sure which to have it on.

Ethernet typically provides the best overall bandwidth (speed) over wireless. Unless you have a need to place it in a location where you cannot use an Ethernet connection, I would leave it connected by Ethernet.
