Q: iPhone 4S - This device isn't eligible for the requested build
Hi Everyone,
I have a iPhone 4S which has never been jailbroken. Nothing has been ever tried on this phone. Complete legitimate and official updates from Apple via iTunes.
Recently when iOS 7 came, I tried to update the software via iTunes. I got the error message that "This device isn't eligible for the requested build". I tried to update from the device and it worked out fine.
Now this update 7.0.2 is out and I tried to update via iTunes. I got the same error that - "The iPhone could not be updated. This device isn't eligible for the requested build".
I am able to backup and sync the device the fine. Not sure what might be the issue causing the issue.
Any advice is highly appreciate. Should I take an appointment in the Apple Store.
