how to turn off code for voicemail on 5s

i just upgraded from the 4s to the 5s. How do i turn off the need to put in a code to listen to voicemail? thanks

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.2

Thank you for the question.

I would recommend going through the steps in the article below. Most of the time section eight resolves the issue as the Visual Voicemail password needs to be reset.

You have to contact your carrier to disable voicemail. The carrier provides and supports voicemail.
