Transferring Photos to Macbook from iPad

Is there a way to transfer all of your iPhoto-edited photos on your iPad to your Macbook? I can't seem to find a way without selecting all of them and sending them to camera roll. This would be inefficient and silly since they would no longer be in folders. Help!

Camera Roll is the place to store photos for sharing with other apps and devices. Duplicate the photo and save the edited copy back to the camera roll. There is no way to share albums back to your computer as albums.

See the iPad User Guide for IOS 7: http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1595/en_US/ipad_user_guide.pdf , chapter 11: Photos, p.63 :

Note: Albums created on iPad aren’t synced back to your computer.

I use Shared Photo Streams to transfer edited photos:

  • Create a Shared Photo stream, as described in the Manual above and set tit to share it only with me
  • Add the edited photos from the album to the stream
  • Download the Photos on mac in iPhoto or Aperture.

You can create up to 100 shared Streams. Iuse them for my most important albums to view them on all my devices.
