So, today I bought a open box item from best buy to beta test my apps. The ipod touch was in the restore section and it informed me that it was still connected to the old user. Now, I contacted apple but they said that Best Buy was supposed to fully wipe it, what can I do?

First thing I tried was to restore like the apple tech told, he said sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Unfortunetly if it doesnt then its off to best buy in the morning. The security feature is GREAT if you lose a phone or an apple device but a pain in the *** if you buy it second hand and the person never deleted it from their account.
Sounds like the FIndMyPhone feature was not turned off. iOS 7 added security.
