There's not much you can change with the exception of a few settings in Accessibility.
Settings>General>Accessibility.
Reinstall iOS6.
After you updated, you now have to live with iOS7 since you can NOT revert back to iOS6. As someone else pointed out all you can do is change a few settings which may or may not help much.
iOS 7 is a redesign. You cannot make your device look like its running iOS 6 when it in fact has iOS 7.
You cCAN revert back to iOS , and its not that difficult (google it) .... Typing on my iPad 3 which I reverted back to 6 from 7 after finding it tooooo slow :(
The look and feel is an attribute of an IOS, it is simply a skin -- it should be straightforward to change the skin, i.e. look and feel of any OS. It is the interface that I/we would like to change, not the IOS guts. I too prefer the IOS 6 interface.
If you backed up your device, I believe you can go back to it that way.
otherwise, you'd have to google it and do some complicated mess to go back.
Official Apple answer is, don't do it.
Real answer is: Ask google and it can be done.
I am not a computer expert, but this makes a lot of sense. It should not be difficult to offer a choice in icons and appearance without completely reworking the code.
No, No, No you are giving bad advice. please do not do this it will destroy your iPad. I have consulted with an outside source and it cannot be done as Apple has stated.
What is the point of a "redesign"?
I was very happy with the IOS 6 look and feel, and I am very UNhappy with the IOS 7 look and feel, and the fact that I wasted several hours having to reset my phone because so many settings were arbitrarily changed.
Why isn't there an option to keep the look and feel the customer is used to and likes? There's tons of storage space on the phone and I don't see any techncial difficulty in doing so to keep the customers happy, but only some marketing decision that decided to change EVERYTHING. Having been involved in upgrades and revisions to interfaces, my experience was you always try to make upgrades smooth for the customer, not rocky.
This upgrade was rocky, and still is.
