IOS 7 problem after update

I have now a an iphone 4s with latest ios installed. but before updating i had a huge number of applications on my phone in differernt folders. like a folder for "messengers" 3 of them. similarly for games i had 5 folders. after updating now i believe we can amove all the apps no matter how many they r in number and can be moved to 1 folder. and thats what i did, but i realised that while moving those apps some of the apps went missing. so i thought they got deleted but when i tried downloading them from the apps store again, it says "open" which menas they r already installed on the phone. so i tried searching it on "spotlight search" and it did open and find the app but when i looked for it on the phone its not there.

please help.
