Today I am trying to replace my mac by my iphone but it appeared that ios can't handle even basic operations, I cannot open JavaScript links from a website, so I can't download videos. Help I love my iphone!

iPhone browser never support downloading videos since the first iPhone. (That's why you don't find virus on iPhone)
You can only download videos from iTunes Store.
Hello, thank you for a quick reply. I am downloading a school movie for my homework that doesn't exists in iTunes Store, what can I do?
Download it using your computer and if you have the right format (.mp4) you can import it to computer iTunes then Sync it to your iPhone.
That means the iphone can't replace a computer
It was never meant to be.
Your computer has a bigger screen, virus scanner and more disk space.
iPhones are more portable and fast and fluid. It's nice to have a computer right in your pocket without taking the macbook.

Yes, but for different use cases.
There are certain things where only a real powerful work horse can handle.
Example:
The new Mac Pro (coming soon before the end of this year) can use 3 4K monitors and the speed to match. iPhone will at least take another few years to catch up.

Maybe in the future, the iPhone will be so powerful and can project directly to the wall like in iMax theatre.😉

iPhone 5 has Apple A6 chip (32 bit dual core 1.3 GHz) and a tri-core PowerVR SGX543MP4 running at 266 MHz.
iPhone 5c has Apple A7 & M7 chip (64 bit) comes with IOS7 and builtin apps (also 64 bit). Nearly double the speed in performance and graphics compared to iPhone 5.
Wow, the iphone 5 C and iphone 5 S are a super major upgrade! Sweet! I shouldn't buy my iphone 5 that early...
Sorry my mistake: iPhone 5s has the 64 bit A7 chip, iPhone 5c has the same chip as iPhone 5.
