i cannot get my music in itunes to download into my phone after my update

I updated my phone. But it took everything from icloud to add to my phone again but it will not sync my music and playlists. But when I go to "On this phone" it shows my playlists as if they are on my cell. Yet when i goto "music" on my cell, it says no content. HELP!
