new iPhone 5S stuck in "restore" part of set up

Husband and I bought new iPhones - 5S (ios7) - Thursday 9/26. Did set up and initiated "restore from iCloud" wirelessly at the Apple Store. The Apple Store worker suggested going ahead and leaving and continuing the restore later when on wi-fi again.

My phone finished restoring just fine and I later downloaded my iOS upgrade.

Husband's is a different matter:

It's now Sunday, 9/29 (3 days later).

The phone still says it can't back up until Restore is done. Can't upgrade iOS software until Restore is done. But Restore never ever finishes.

What can we do?

That was extremely bad advice. Force the phone into recovery mode, as described here, & restore it:

I has this same issue and corrected it by simply holding down the power button and home button simultaneously (for about 6 seconds?) until the phone reset itself. It took a moment to restart and then after that I was able to do the software update.

Having said that, not all my apps were restored from my backup, so I just re downloaded the ones I wanted from the App Store.

Mine was stuck in restore mode after the latest upgrade and my husband is at apple store right now.I am hoping they get it fixed I will not do anymore upgrades though unless I have no choice and if they charge him to fix it I will not buy from apple again.ATT store told me they have had several ppl in today with the same problem

BTW I couldnt turn phone on or do anything period.Tried to reboot several times and nothing but same screen which allowed me to do nothing
