Q: How do I access the preferences menu for iCloud.com mail on my iPad mini?
I'm trying to set up my iCloud.com email account to use utf-8 encoding so that I can send and receive email in Japanese. I'm having problems in that the recipient gets my email in garbled form. The recipient uses a mbm.nifty.com email account. I've read on some websites that I should be able to select the encoding in the preferences menu for the iCloud.com email account. However, I don't know how to access the preferences menu. Any help would be aprreciated.

I believe you would have to go to icloud.com, click on your name at the top and choose Account Settings, then set the language you wish to use. This will effect all iCloud services, not just email.
