Every time I plug in my ipod an error message 42404. I have un and re installed itunes over 5 time and I have re set the factory setting on my ipod so now I dont have any music on it at all. Help please.

Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing when trying to sync your iPod nano. I recommend following the link in step 2 below for Error 42404:
"Error 42023" through "Error 42408"
These alerts might occur when trying to authorize iTunes or during launch when iTunes checks for authorization information.
- Install the latest iTunes from apple.com/itunes/download/
- Remove the SC Info folder.
- If that does not resolve the issue, see iTunes: "Error 42408" or "Error 42404" after upgrading to iTunes 9.0.3.
