Q: All my songs appear in my library on my PC but all the songs that I originally loaded on itunes by cd are not on the library on my ipod touch.  I would like them included and I can't seem to find an answer on here that works.  Help!

I would really like to include all the songs in my library thatare on my pc on my ipod touch, but the ones that I downloaded years ago by cd show up on my pc library but not my ipod touch library.  I've tried looking on support but haven't found anything so far that has worked.

iPod touch, iOS 7.0.2

They won't appear in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app as described on the page that you posted from, that will only show iTunes purchases. If you want your own music on the iPod then you will need to connect the iPod and sync it the music to it

Or you can subscribe to iTunes Match (if it's available in your country) and use that : http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/

Ok so I tried syncing my music with your link and it still didn't work.  I don't see some of the things that they show on the picture.  I've been working on this for hours ans am gettting very frustrated!

Only music that you purchased from iTunes will show in the Purchased links - music that you bought from other sites or copied from CDs will only be where you put it e.g. on your computer and/or on your backup copy of your library.

If you want that music on your iPod then you will need to sync it from your computer to your iPod.

The only way that you would be able to download that music directly on your iPod, as opposed to syncing it from your computer, is if you have subscribed to iTunes Match and uploaded it to to that from your computer.

When you try to sync it, you are connecting the iPod and selecting it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes under 'Devices' (on iTunes 11 on a PC you can enable the sidebar via control-S) e.g.

    devices.jpg

On the right-hand side of the iTunes window there should then be a series of tabs, including one for 'Music' - if you select that you should be able to select which of your computer's iTunes music to sync to the iPod.

King_Penguin ... your response does not answer/address the issue. I'm having the same issue as scrappy13. In ios7/itunes 11, when a new playlist is chosen to sync to an iphone or ipad, we can no longer sync/copy music which was uploaded/copied FROM A PURCHASED CD. I think scrappy13 and I both want to know how to fix syncing music uploaded/copied FROM A PURCHASED CD (not purchased in the itunes store). Is this another Apple pirarcy protection mechanism with ios7? If so, it's bogus 'cause I have the original purchased CD for all the music. I am NOT going to repurchase the music through itunes in order to get it to sync.

I have no longer problem copying music that I've copied from CDs and/or bought from other sources from my Mac's iTunes (11.1.3) to my devices which have iOS 7 on them - but I manually manage all of my content (I just drag them over to the device in iTunes) and don't bother with playlists (though I've just tried it and created a playlist with songs from CDs and have been able to drag that onto my iPad).

You are using the computer that you normally use to sync to those devices ?

in addition, I am using the same Windows 7 computer to sync as I have for the past year, all to no avail ... thought perhaps if I paid the $$ for the iTunes Match, that would somehow help in at least jumping over the songs in order to sync with iTunes, but alas, that has not worked either. also can not sync tones any longer either. this is SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!
