VGA to Mini DisplayPort NOT WORKING AT ALL!
Hey all,
I have a MBP that I bought from the Apple Store Green Hills about 8 months ago, running ML 10.8.5.
I'm attempting to connect an external monitor for more work space in Logic Pro and CS6, and to begin taking online graphic design and web development classes by using the external monitor to view my video lectures, while following along with the instrutor in Photoshop, writing code, etc. on my MBP's screen.
I purchased a Cirago brand VGA to Mini DisplayPort adapter from Electronic Express in Murfreesboro on Friday, and when I attempted to connect, my MBP screen flashed blue as it should, but then froze and the external monitor got no signal at all.
While in Nolensville on Saturday, I exchanged the adapter at the Electronic Express out there, thinking it may have just been a faulty adapter, but it does the same thing.
I'm considering just returning it and taking a trip to Green Hills and buying an Apple brand adapter, but I'm worried that the problem is my computer, as I've read several reviews on the Cirago brand adapter and they were all great, no problems.
Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this problem, please?!
