I'm clueless about what info. to give. I just want to run my itunes as I connect to my phone. I updated my iphone 4 to the latest version but when I plugged it into my comp. it was not allowing to connect because my computer itself did not have the "latest" update. Whent I tried to update it it said "there were no current updates".

The most recent version of iTunes requires that you have OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 installed on your Mac. As Niel has pointed out, you need to buy Snow Leopard from Apple. Niel has linked to the information to buy the DVD.

After you install Snow Leopard from the DVD you buy from Apple, you must update it to verion 10.6.8 using the update combo;

OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 v1.1 update combo

After you have completed that upgrade to Snow, you can update iTunes;
