New itunes old phone--synching to Google

The problem I am having is that old advice given involves older iphones with older itunes. New advice given involves new iphone with new ITunes. But for those of us who have an old iPhone (3G) and seem to have no choice but to have the new itunes we are stuck. Since all advice given refers to one group (old+old) or the other (new + new).

So how does someone who has an iPhone 3G with iOS 4.1 synch to google using iTunes 11?

For those of you who wonder why I don't update to a later iOS version---there seems to be a gap between my version and later versions (there are newer versions then mine which can be updated and older versions of mine which can be updated but not my exact version--oh yeah my i is jailbroken).

I was thinking that iTunes 10- had the synch with Google option. Is it possible to uninstall ver. 11 and download and install ver. 10? this would solve the problem I would guess.

iPhone 3G, Windows 7, iPod Video 60G, iPhone 3G
