Android phone and iCloud

The instructions in the Apple link http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864 do not work when I try to set up iCloud on my Android device. I know iCloud works on my Android device because it did for 3 years until I accidentally cleared the cache today. Now I cannot set it up again. Does anyone know how to set it up? Apple Help desk has been utterly useless.

My question was answered by NHLEVIN in an earlier reply to a similar post. I had to tweak the outgoing settings to get it to work with my HTC Sensation, but work it did.

[Protocol is IMAP]

Do not use @mac.com or @me.com after username

Incoming server is indeed: imap.mail.me.com

Port is indeed 993

Definitely select SSL/TLS and accept all certificates

Now here's the zinger: Authentication should be LOGIN

outgoing server settings are:

smtp.me.com

port 587 Port: 25

NONE for security type Security: TLS

Tic "Require Sign-in"

Authentication is PLAIN

Username again without @me.com or @mac.com
