Klipsch I S4i II headphones not working with OS7 WHY?

No idea.

My sony xba4 work fine.

I have the s4i rugged versions. Track pause (1 press)/advance (2 press)/back (3 press) all work. The volume buttons do not work since the IOS 7 upgrade. They did work before (IOS 6).

Again, no clue as to why.

My Sony's, ultimate ears, scosche all work fine.

You might want to try deleting the pairing from the headset and the phone, then re-pair.

They are not bluetooth devices.

MIne dont work either .I have a pair of ultimate ears plug in ( non blue tooth)earbuds. The cable contains the basic microphone module that is "in line" on most all of the earbuds designed for telephone /communications etc...

The microphone wont work on my iphone w/ OS 7..

The apple store associate says that its a glitsch in OS 7 software and will be corrected in a future upgrade.

Apple tech support person reached via apple support line said "we dont support third party devices.."

Everyone knows apple supplied plug in earbuds w/ mirophone are uncomfortable and many people have anatomical issues with their ears which make these ( and most otehrs) unusuable. Not to mention the poor-average audio quality for music. It would be sad if apple coud not support even a basic pair of aftermarket earbuds w/microphone. They have been around forever and are a basic, universally used accessory. Anyone know anything?

This is a long shot, but are you sure the plug is pushed all the way in? If it is not fully seated the controls and mic won't work.

jonathan, i have ultimate ears custom in line earbuds with their standard cable and inline microphone.

My microphone does NOT work.

what earbuds of ultimate ears do you use?

Yes I know they arent blue tooth , as i own a pair with a cable:)

blue tooth devices seem to work fine w/ OS 7.

Thanks. 600vi is a one piece cable earbud model , a different cale than the ones that plug in to the earbuds on the custom models.

As a last resort, i will have someone splice a cable ( that works with ios7 ) to the connectors of my earbuds.

Hopefully apple/logitech will figure this out before i go that route...
