Why did my sound go away randomly on my Mac Mini?

So I just got this Mac Mini, and I had the sound working fine on my Symphonic HDTV '32 inch, using an HDMI connection. But after the first day, when I logged in again and tried to use Itunes, the sound went away. I can plug in headphones to the Mac Mini and here the music. But It no longer comes through my TV speakers.
