How to use Drummer midi with Battery?

I love the new Drummer plugin. I like the fact you can drag the midi files into other plugins. I was wondering does Drummer follow certain criteria with its midi file? I see if you drag it into Ultrabeat, it works right away. All the kicks/snare/hi-hat etc. match the Ultrabeat kits(from drum machine folder) to what was on Drummer without a problem. Everything matches. But when I drag the midi into Battery it doesn't work so well.

If I start an empty battery pluggin kit, I have to move the drummer midi notes a lot to match my battery kit. And it is really tedious and time consuming. Is there any way to find out which notes drummer uses for kicks/snares/hihats/toms, so I can assign the same notes in battery.

I hope I'm making sense? I'm sorry if I'm confusing. I simply want to drag Drummer midi file into battery and have all the kicks/snares and stuff match up like when I do with ultrabeat. I would love to make a template or something for battery.

You either have to remap the Battery instrument to make it fit the notes, or you have to move the notes around in the MIDI file. Unfortunately Battery Kits do have slightly different mappings, even though the Kick is already at "standard" C1, Snares on D1-E1 and closed, pedal- and open hihats at F#1, G#1 and A#1.

Yes, it is time consuming - although, honestly, it is not that bad, it takes me ten minutes to sort it out when starting a new project. I move the pieces around in Battery, it's the easiest way for me.

What I've never used but what you may be looking for ("template") in this case is the Mapped instrument:
