Are you using a third party cable? iOS7 includes software in it to detect whether or not the lightning cable that's being used has been 'signed' by apple...in other words if the manufacturer got permission from Apple to make the cable or if they didn't. If the maker didn't get permission then there may be issues with the cable working.

If you're using an official cable or one by a reputable manufacturer(i include Belkin, Kensington and Targus in that list) then try giving your device a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if that helps.

Not Charge

- See:

iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting

- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.

- Try another charging source

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
