I can't get text messages on my windows phone now that I started using iMessage on my iPad

I have an iPad and a windows phone. I was sending and receiving text messages with my girlfriend just fine. She has an hone 4. But once I started texting her with iMessage on the iPad, I can no longer get her text on my windows phone. Can anyone help
