It depends on what you're going to use it for... personally, I prefer (and use) the Magic Trackpad as I can use the built-in gestures.
I'm sure that you'll get some other suggestions/opinions, though...
Clinton
I use a magic mouse, and have for 2 years. I love having a mix of gestures and mouse operation in one device.
majic mouse is amazing. 😍 Ditto on Clinton's like.

How about better than a mouse (IMHO): Logitech's Trackman Marble. You move just the ball, you get more options with the buttons, and while additional features are available with Logitech's software, many of its features are recognized natively by every Mac OS I've used it with (going back to System 7).

"It depends" is the correct answer.
If you love using gestures, you'll want a Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad.
If you love high precision, a trackball is often preferable to a mouse.
If you love modified mouse actions, a mouse with extra programmable buttons is a good idea.
If you love gaming, a responsive high-resolution gaming mouse is probably best.
If you love graphics/art, it is possible no mouse is best; instead you want a pressure-sensitive stylus and tablet for maximum control over painting and retouching.
No one else can tell you what the best is, unless they share your preferences exactly.
I for one find the mighty mouse to be a bit too big for travel yet I find I work much faster with a mouse then with the touch pad alone. So I have been using a Logitech M305 Wireless Mouse for a couple years now and love it! The battery life is great and it works perfectly with the Macbook Pro.
Apple's magic mouse is terrible in my opinion because the bluetooth connection drops a few times per day. You have to whack the mouse on your desk a few times to get it to re-connect. See this thread: Magic Mouse keeps losing connection
I've been very happy with the Lenovo Wireless N50 mouse.
Magic Mouse 2? Worst mouse ever. Right click behaving like left click. Non-ergonomical. I regret having purchased it.
